Ennio Morricone received four standing ovations

The legendary composer Ennio Morricone received four standing ovations during each concert at Prague Proms festival.
Cinema for Ears "was screened" on Thursday at Prague Proms by the renowned Italian composer of  film scores Ennio Morricone.

The audience stood up several times to acknowledge the splendid night's performance with a long-standing thunderous ovation. In the sold out Smetana Hall in Prague's Municipal House Ennio Morricone stood behind the conductor's stand to lead the Czech National Symphony Orchestra (CNSO) playing the most famous songs of his career.

An extra concert had to be added on Friday, but the tickets were again sold almost immediately.

In the interview  for the Czech News Agency last December Morricone said that he considered himself being primarily a composer, and then the conductor. During his successful career he followed mainly the method of accuracy. This was by the time he recorded the music with the CNSO for an Italian TV movie The Dolphin by director Stefano Reali.
